Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a qualified audit professional to lead engagements and mentor staff within a hybrid work environment. The role requires a CPA and substantial public accounting experience, with proficiency in GAAP/GAAS and cross-team coordination.

The position emphasizes client relationship management, risk assessment, and adherence to firm methodologies while supporting professional development and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed CPA in the state of residence or equivalent credential.
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring staff.
• Understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and FASB or IFRS regulations.
• Proven record of building profitable client relationships.
• Minimum 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, high quality client service including coordinating the auditing of financial statements, disclosures, and other deliverables.
• Assess risk and design/communicate audit procedures to engagement teams.
• Understand and apply RSM's Audit Methodology.
• Manage multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations for staff.
• Supervise seniors and supervisors, monitor productivity and adherence to work plans.
• Maintain client contact to understand business developments and their impact on current audits.
• Develop staff through mentoring, training, and firm initiatives.
• Communicate accounting and auditing matters to senior managers and partners.
• Identify performance improvement opportunities and ensure ongoing professional development.
• Stay current with GAAP and firm standards; travel up to 25% as needed.
