Job summary

The Enoch Pratt Free Library seeks an Accounting Supervisor to manage specialized accounting work, administer the Library's financial systems, and support the annual audit. The role supervises payroll, prepares tax remittances, reconciles assets and liabilities, maintains the Chart of Accounts, and coordinates with city and state agencies.

It collaborates with the Library Controller and Finance staff to produce accurate statements and aid in audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a complex accounting environment.
• Experience with government or non-profit accounting preferred.
• Experience with MIP and Workday is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a bi-weekly payroll, including tax remittances.
• Prepare, coordinate and oversee payroll tax returns.
• Maintain liaison with Library, City and State personnel and agencies.
• Monitor and reconcile assets, liabilities, revenues and expenses.
• Maintain and administer accounting system and Chart of Accounts.
• Assist in development of policies for the Finance and Procurement Office.
• Support annual audited financial statements and coordination of the external audit.
• Collaborate with Library Controller and other staff to ensure accurate financial reporting.
