Job summary

Atlanta Beltline, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to support the Director of Finance in overseeing general accounting operations and ensuring timely financial reporting.

The role includes supervising the accounting team, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements and funding restrictions. The ideal candidate will have extensive nonprofit accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to balance detailed transactional review with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA license in good standing strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of general accounting operations and serve as the department's primary accounting review function.
• Oversee close processes (monthly, quarterly, annual) including reconciliations and funding analyses.
• Supervise accounting staff responsible for AP, AR, cash receipts, grant accounting, and general ledger activities.
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, grant requirements, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead preparation and review of audit schedules and grant reporting requirements.
• Establish and maintain review procedures to identify errors and improve processes.
• Monitor deadlines and report to Director of Finance, CFO, and Board of Directors.
• Develop schedules for grants, contracts, capital projects, and funding agreements.
• Provide guidance on coding, procurement processes, and financial policies.
