Villa de Matel is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support financial operations, ensuring accurate processing of transactions and GAAP compliance. You will handle general ledger duties, accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting while assisting with audits and payroll-related activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, accounts payable, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, preferably Sage.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support financial operations of Villa de Matel Center and affiliated entities.
• Maintain vendor records, process invoices and payments, and assist with month-end and year-end closings.
• Prepare account reconciliations and financial reports; support audits and IRS reporting requirements.
• Assist with payroll activities, cash management, and internal controls.
