Job summary

The Oregon Community Foundation seeks a Senior Accountant to support the Assistant Controller in managing a broad range of accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the organization’s financial records.

This role includes day-to-day financial transactions, month-end close, and preparation of financial reports, with a focus on compliance with federal, state, and organizational requirements.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of accounting functions with 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited four-year institution; CPA preferred.
• Nonprofit tax return experience and compliance knowledge are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and monthly reconciliations for balance sheet and expense accounts.
• Review reconciliations for investment pools and allocate investment returns across funds.
• Prepare and assist with month-end/year-end close and financial reporting.
