Job summary

Hornblower Group is seeking a Node & React software engineer to develop and maintain web applications for ticketing solutions. You will build APIs to interact with back-end services, working with GraphQL and React front-ends. Collaboration with product and engineering teams is essential to deliver scalable, high-performance software.

You will participate in architecture decisions, mentor juniors, and ensure robust documentation and quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficient with Node.JS and React.JS for enterprise web apps.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as Software Engineer/Architect.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with GTFS, Real Time coordinates, and RESTful APIs to connect apps.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing of complex software systems.
• Drive architecture decisions for scalability and security.
• Collaborate with product, design and engineers on scalable features.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure code quality and documentation.
• Define and ship new features for Node platform and front-end calls.
