Hornblower Corp seeks a Node & React software engineer to develop and maintain web applications for ticketing solutions. You will build APIs to interact with back-end services, collaborating across teams on GraphQL and front-end React.js calls to deliver high-quality products.

The role emphasizes architecture decisions, performance tuning, and mentorship of junior engineers, with a focus on scalable, reliable systems and thorough technical documentation throughout the lifecycle.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology related field or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Proficient with Node.JS and React.JS.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as Software Engineer/Architect.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with GTFS, Real Time transportation Lat/Long coordinates, and RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
• Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards.
• Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
• Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred.
• Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools such as Shark.
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
• Knack for benchmarking and optimization.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools as Github and Gitlab.
• Familiarity with continuous integration solutions such as Gitlab.
• Available outside of office hours for urgent and high priority work related issues.
