Job summary

Softjourn, Inc. designs and builds scalable web applications at the intersection of ticketing systems and financial operations for B2B and B2C audiences.

You will work across frontend with React/TypeScript and backend with Node.js/NestJS, implementing robust data models in PostgreSQL or MySQL and optimizing with Redis caching. You will collaborate with PMs, UX/UI designers, and architects in a distributed, international team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Node.js/Express/NestJS.
• Strong database design with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Proficiency with React and modern frontend patterns.
• Experience with RESTful or GraphQL APIs and API testing tools.
• Familiarity with microservices/serverless architectures and cloud providers.
• Proficient in CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC practices.
• Solid understanding of OOP and SOLID principles.
• Ability to communicate in English in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, and Redux/Context API.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs with Node.js and NestJS.
• Implement data models with PostgreSQL or MySQL RDS.
• Ensure performance with Redis caching for high-traffic apps.
• Maintain code quality, docs, and development workflows.
• Lead knowledge transfer sessions and code reviews as needed.
• Adopt AI toolsets to improve development processes.
• Contribute to code audits and risk mitigation when required.
• Collaborate with PM, UX/UI, BAs, and Solution Architects.
