Job summary

ADP Innovation Labs is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with extensive NodeJS experience to join an emerging team in Roseland, NJ. You will develop frontend and backend services using NodeJS and React, drive CI/CD, and help shape a state‑of‑the‑art tech stack with modern tooling and agile practices.

You will collaborate across global teams, participate in scrum ceremonies, and mentor engineers while delivering polished products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of Node.js or Java development experience in a professional setting.
• Experience designing highly available, performant applications and practicing TDD.
• Proficiency with at least one other language such as C#, Go or Python.
• Strong database experience with NoSQL and SQL databases.
• Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS), Jenkins and Docker; DevOps/build engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop frontend and backend services in NodeJS and React.
• Performance tuning at code and database levels.
• Support production software operations, testing and debugging.
• Develop and extend the CI/CD pipeline.
• Design automated monitoring, alerting and reporting systems.
• Report progress to project teams and managers; communicate milestones.
