Job summary

iTech Media is seeking a Senior Node.js backend engineer to join the VeliHorizon team. You will design and maintain high-performance microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and data-rich systems on a scalable platform built for iGaming markets.

In this role you will work with Node.js, NestJs, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, contributing to CI/CD and live production reliability across international teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of backend development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js).
• Proficient with NestJs and building scalable backend services.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, and API design (REST and gRPC).
• Experience with cloud (AWS), containers (Docker), and orchestration (K8s).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and gRPC services.
• Write clean, testable code and ensure high quality in code reviews.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Handle asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
• Work with microservices and containerized environments.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and automate delivery.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Engage in sprint planning and technical discussions.
