Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment is seeking a Senior Back-End Developer to design, develop, and operate scalable cloud-based back-end applications. You will build serverless solutions with Node.js on AWS and manage APIs, event-driven services, and integrations with energy partners.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of production Node.js in serverless environments, strong AWS serverless experience, automated testing, and leadership in IT teams.

Qualifications

• Relevant IT degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years production experience with Node.js in serverless environments.
• 5+ years AWS serverless tech stack (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS).
• 5+ years automated testing (unit and end-to-end).
• Leadership experience in IT teams or technical guidance.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database knowledge.
• Experience with Infra as Code (CloudFormation).
• Experience CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of cloud computing, Kubernetes, monitoring, and logging.
• AWS Developer Associate at minimum; higher certs beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate scalable back-end apps in cloud; production-ready.
• Build and maintain serverless solutions using Node.js and AWS.
• Develop APIs and event-driven services; integrate with energy partners.
• Work with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, S3, CloudWatch.
• Implement automated tests; maintain CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and support 24/7 operations.
• Apply cloud security best practices; ensure quality standards.
