3Pillar Global, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - NodeJS to architect and deliver scalable, serverless solutions on AWS.

You will design Lambda-driven workflows, integrate with Cognito, DynamoDB, and third-party services, and craft robust APIs with GraphQL and REST patterns. You’ll work in a remote-first role, collaborating with global teams, mentoring others, and driving best practices in testing (Vitest) and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years on an Agile development team.
• Expert experience with AWS serverless apps: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, ECS/Fargate, S3, Cognito.
• Advanced GraphQL schema design, resolvers, and REST services.
• Relational DBs (MySQL) and document/search stores (DynamoDB, OpenSearch).
• Event-driven microservices; high availability and throughput.
• Unit/integration tests with Vitest; monorepo tooling (Lerna).
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specs and communicate trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS Lambda functions across accounts.
• Develop and operate containerized, event-driven systems for SMS/email workflows.
• Extend and maintain serverless payment engine with multi-provider flows.
• Build APIs and microservices using Node.js, GraphQL, REST; persist data in DynamoDB, MySQL, OpenSearch.
• Implement services for verification, shipping labels, and promo-code workflows.
• Manage Lerna monorepo to maximize code reuse and deployment consistency.
• Write unit/integration tests and uphold CI/CD quality gates.
• Communicate status and trade-offs to client stakeholders; participate in Agile ceremonies.
