Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks an NNSA Defense Programs Engineer (Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer - Digital and Systems Engineering) to serve as a technical leader supporting NNSA and its defense programs. This full-time role delivers expert SE&I across the Nuclear Security Enterprise and mentors junior staff, enabling mission success.

You will apply digital engineering to improve acquisition programs, coordinate with NNSA leadership, and travel up to one week per month.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related technical field from an accredited university.
Eight (8) years of progressive experience in systems engineering, acquisition program development and management, or technical operations involving sophisticated national security systems.
Active Top Secret or Q Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to maintain a security clearance.
Ability to travel occasionally, up to approximately one week per month.

Responsibilities

Provide SE&I support to NNSA weapons modernization programs through technical analyses.
Lead or participate in integrated project teams and task execution.
Apply systems engineering principles across the nuclear weapons lifecycle.
Apply digital engineering knowledge to implement digital solutions.
Coordinate interfaces between customers and Aerospace staff to leverage capabilities.
Demonstrate project management skills and deliver results on time.
