Job summary

LevelUp is seeking a Software Developer (Next.js) with 3–5 years of production experience to join our remote team. You will own end-to-end flows, collaborate with leadership, and deliver secure, scalable web applications.

You’ll work asynchronously with a Brisbane-based team and align with Australia’s business hours, while enjoying flexible remote collaboration and strong documentation expectations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of demonstrated commercial Next.js production experience.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to document work clearly.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with REST, GraphQL, and Webhooks for integrations.
• Azure infrastructure experience is a plus (App Services, storage, Entra ID).
• Experience with HR/payroll domain integrations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship robust Next.js web applications with modern JavaScript.
• Translate rough designs into well-structured, maintainable components.
• Maintain secure integrations with HR/payroll platforms and internal tools.
• Deploy and operate apps in Azure, manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Write automated tests and participate in code reviews.
