Job summary

You will review drawings, perform stability analyses, coordinate with shipyards and vendors, and help ensure safety, cost and schedule alignment. Strong communication and travel readiness are valued; Bachelor's in naval architecture required; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 5-8 years’ experience in naval architecture or ship design roles.
  • Strong knowledge of vessel stability, hull form, and weight control.
  • Ability to read and comment on technical drawings and calculations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in multicultural settings.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and execution of naval architecture scope for newbuilds and capital programs.
  • Review shipyard drawings, specs, and stability documents for compliance.
  • Coordinate with shipyards, class, flag administrations, and vendors on technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain design schedules, drawing review plans, and decision logs.
  • Participate in design reviews, workshops, and project coordination meetings.
  • Assess design changes for safety, cost, schedule, and lifecycle performance.
  • Assist with weight reports, inclining experiments, deadweight surveys, and lightship estimates.
  • Support owner’s requirements, technical standards, and lessons learned.
