Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) seeks a Naval Architect to support newbuild and capital projects, reviewing drawings, specs, and calculations for safety and compliance. You will coordinate with yards, classes, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure weight, stability, and performance targets are met.

The role involves design reviews, technical decision logs, and collaboration with marine, hotel, deck, and engine teams to optimize vessel concepts and execution.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Marine Technology, Ship Design, or related engineering field; Master's degree preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience in a similar naval architecture role.
• Knowledge of vessel stability, hull form, structural design, weight control, and ship construction practices.

Mansioni

• Support development and execution of naval architecture scope for newbuild and other capital programs.
• Review shipyard drawings, technical specs, and calculations for alignment with requirements and standards.
• Coordinate with shipyards, classification societies, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Assist with weight reports, stability documents, inclining experiments, and related deliverables.
• Participate in design reviews, technical workshops, and project coordination meetings.
• Analyze proposed design changes for impact on safety, operations, cost, schedule, weight, and guest/crew experience.
• Support development of owner's requirements, technical standards, and newbuild specifications.
• Investigate new technologies and construction methods to improve safety and lifecycle performance.
• Coordinate construction follow-up activities at shipyards and onboard surveys.
