Job summary

Orlando Health in Orlando, FL seeks a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform electroneurodiagnostic tests including EEG, nerve conduction studies, and evoked potentials under the Neurodiagnostic Manager.

You will work with patients of all ages, explain procedures, document findings, and assist physicians with brain mapping while ensuring equipment is properly maintained and on-call readiness is kept.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • AMA-accredited training program in Electroencephalographic Technology, Electrodiagnostics or Electroneurodiagnostics.
  • Three years clinical experience in the electroneurodiagnostic field.
  • Three years clinical experience in the Neurodiagnostic field.
  • ABRET/REEGT/CMET/REPT/REDT certification required with renewal rules.
  • Maintains current BLS HealthCare Provider Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Uses ASET and AAET guidelines to perform neurological procedures independently on all ages.
  • Greets patients and explains testing procedures.
  • Facilitates study completion, including history, paperwork, charging, clipping and archiving.
  • Troubleshoots equipment, inventories and stocks supplies.
  • Assesses data reflecting patient status and maintains knowledge of current practices.
  • Takes call as needed and responds timely.
  • Educates/precepts staff and students as applicable.
  • Assists neurologists with brain mapping as assigned.
  • Maintains attendance, records and orderly work area.
