Job summary

City of New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board is seeking a Networks Maintenance Technician II to support water distribution and wastewater collection. The role involves preventive and reactive maintenance, locating buried or covered meters, and performing related work as required.

The position represents the second level in the networks multi-skilled workforce, with responsibilities spanning maintenance tasks and related duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Eighteen (18) months of maintenance and/or construction experience.
• High School Diploma or GED OR an additional 18 months of full-time experience in maintenance and/or construction.
• Promotional: one (1) year of experience as a Networks Maintenance Technician I.

Responsibilities

• This is the second-level position in the Networks multi-skilled workforce.
• Networks Maintenance Technician II work activities may include any combination of the following tasks appropriate for water distribution, wastewater collection preventive and reactive maintenance including minor maintenance and location of buried/covered meters; and related work as required.
