Job summary

Sheldon Independent School District in Houston, TX is seeking a Networking and Cybersecurity Manager to lead the Network, Systems, and Cybersecurity functions onsite at the Network Operations Center. You will ensure a secure, reliable, and well-documented environment in alignment with district standards.

The role requires leadership of enterprise infrastructure, vendor coordination, and ongoing security operations, with a focus on documentation and reliability.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a tech field.
• Must have or obtain at least one IT/cybersecurity certification within first year.
• Five+ years IT experience in networking, systems, or security.

Responsibilities

• Lead district Network, Systems, and Cybersecurity operations.
• Supervise infrastructure including switches, firewalls, and security controls.
• Ensure documented, reliable, and compliant technology environment.
• Coordinate with vendors, projects, and purchasing.
• Attend TEA cybersecurity meetings and report to Technology leadership.
• Oversee DR/BC testing and incident response coordination.
