Job summary

Responsibilities include incident response via ServiceNow, rack and cable work, and onsite troubleshooting across WiFi, IPT, RF, VSAT, and telecom systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with power installation, equipment swaps, and change management, while ensuring adherence to security and audit standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in network infrastructure support and management.
• Experience racking, stacking, cabling and decommissioning network hardware devices.
• Site Services support for network device maintenance and support (console/remote).

Responsibilities

• Respond to ServiceNow incident tickets.
• Patching cable installation and recovery.
• Installing power leads.
• Installing, removing or swapping equipment.
• Locating and identifying network circuits and tagging the demarc location.
• Provide escort services for third party vendors or subcontractors.
• Adhere to risk management processes and change management; report incidents.
• Comply with audit, information protection, and security standards.
• Troubleshoot and patch power cables; identify switch port locations; ping devices and DNS lookups.
• Troubleshoot, install, or remove equipment; visually check hardware status and labels while onsite.
• Identify and report environmental issues in communications rooms.
• Perform IMAC activities for end user LAN and voice devices.
• Adhere to change management practices.
• Monitor and respond to emergency conditions affecting operations.
• Follow Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans.
• Provide smarthands support for telecom infrastructure including fiber, WiFi, RF, microwave, VSAT, cellular systems, LPWAN, and IIoT/OT.
• Deploy solar panel/battery power systems; conduct troubleshooting and repairs.
• IP Telephony installations at end-user locations.
• Support specialty telecoms systems (CCTV, PAGA, Intercom, alarms) for remote/offshore sites.
• Collaborate across organizations to restore services.
