Job summary

HCL Global Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced network engineer to manage and optimize enterprise networks across LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure uptime and security. The role requires hands-on experience with network architecture, topology diagrams, and collaboration with cloud/DevSecOps teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, and wireless APs.
• Experience setting up, configuring, upgrading, managing and troubleshooting routers/switches and WAPs.
• Design, install and troubleshoot local-area and wide-area enterprise networks.
• Engineering and design experience in networking industry required.
• Designing, installing and troubleshooting enterprise networks with fault tolerance.
• Monitoring IT environments for compliance with information security and standards.
• Creating network diagrams using Visio or similar tools.
• Working with SDWAN and cloud networking topologies.
• Experience with IPsec, QoS, multicast, and related protocols.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot network issues impacting application performance and uptime.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure suppliers and stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Oversee installation, documentation, and upgrades of facility data network infrastructure.
• Provide documentation, topology diagrams, IP schemes, firewall rules, and access controls when required.
• Work with cloud and DevSecOps teams to optimize hybrid connectivity and SD-WAN configurations.
