Job summary

SolomonEdwards is seeking a Network Systems Infrastructure Engineer to build, run, and scale our core computer and network systems. You will manage local data centers, cloud connectivity, and multi-site routing to keep the company online and secure.

This role bridges hardware and cloud architecture, fixes hard problems, and automates daily tasks. You will design and support routers, switches, firewalls, and virtualization (VMware/Nutanix), plus manage Linux/Windows servers and hybrid cloud

Qualifications

5+ years in IT infrastructure or network engineering.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Strong Linux/Windows Server administration and virtualization.
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP IaaS.

Responsibilities

Network Operations: Design, configure, and support enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
Systems Administration: Manage physical and virtual servers (Linux and Windows Server), plus hypervisors like VMware and Nutanix.
Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure: Maintain hybrid connections, virtual private clouds, and storage volumes in AWS/Azure.
Monitoring & Security: Track network traffic, patch systems, harden endpoints, and enforce security rules.
Troubleshooting: Tier-three escalation support to fix complex routing, hardware, and uptime issues.
Capacity Planning: Track hardware health, forecast data growth, and plan upgrades.
