Job summary

Connect Centric is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to oversee on-prem and cloud network environments, ensuring secure, reliable connectivity for enterprise applications. You will work with the Network Team to implement network solutions across data centers and cloud platforms, handling routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, DNS/DHCP, and monitoring tools.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support staff, and partners, and participate in after-hours deployments as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Cisco switching and routing (OSPF, BGP).
• Proficiency with firewalls (including VPNs) and wireless access.
• Hands-on AWS cloud networking (VPC, EC2, ALB/NLB, Transit Gateway).
• Experience with network monitoring tools (Site24x7, SevOne) and cloud-native monitoring.
• Ability to deploy and troubleshoot Cisco access-layer switches, VPNs, and direct internet connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Network Operations & Maintenance: manage and optimize 500+ nodes across multiple locations; admin network devices and DNS/DHCP; monitor performance.
• Cloud Network Engineering: design and optimize AWS/GCP cloud networks, VPCs, VPNs, Direct Connect, Transit Gateways, and hybrid connectivity.
• Security & Access Control: implement firewall rules, NAC, segmentation, secure remote access.
• Collaboration & Support: work with Windows/Linux/Storage/Database/Cloud teams; provide after-hours support as needed.
• Continuous Improvement: stay current with networking and security trends; pursue certifications.
