Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking a Network & Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network and server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and support on-premises and Azure-integrated environments, coordinating with IT teams to enhance security and data protection.

Responsibilities include configuring switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, servers, and storage, along with server provisioning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or significantly related field.
• 3 years of related professional experience with enterprise network and server infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and subnetting.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, apply good judgement, and problem solve under demanding circumstances.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with network team to design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise network and server infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network, server, virtualization, and cloud environments, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Work as part of a team to configure, deploy, and support switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, servers, storage systems, and related technologies.
• Perform system administration tasks including server provisioning and patching.
• Support and maintain secure, reliable connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure services, including networking, identity integration, and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Work collaboratively with other IT teams to integrate security and data protection into daily operations and strategic initiatives.
