Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Network Systems Engineer to help the DoD deploy a reliable network that meets evolving mission requirements. You will work with customers to learn strategic goals and operational needs, then plan the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components to ensure interoperability and secure communications.

The role requires hands-on experience with SolarWinds, firewall design, and enterprise IT.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with SolarWinds monitoring and management.
• 3+ years of experience with enterprise security design, including IDS/IPS, SIEM, and vulnerability assessment.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco, or Juniper firewalls.
• DoD 8140 baseline Level II Certification required (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CISSP).

Responsibilities

• Plan acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components.
• Collaborate with DoD customers to translate strategic goals into network requirements.
• Support interoperability across platforms and pursue cloud/network optimization initiatives.
