Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Network Security Engineer to advance secure network design for DoD missions. You will collaborate with SMEs, customers, vendors, and users to translate strategic goals into scalable, secure networks and support acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components.

Responsibilities include hands-on problem solving, interoperability across platforms, and applying cloud and backbone-network expertise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network security and designing IT systems or networks for large enterprises or government agencies.
• 3+ years of experience with firewall and enterprise security design, including device hardening, IDS/IPS, SIEM, firewalls, IPsec, and vulnerability assessment.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco, or Juniper firewalls.
• Experience with packet analysis tools, including Wireshark.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SMEs, customers, vendors, and users to learn strategic goals and operational needs shaping network requirements.
• Plan acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components.
• Resolve interoperability issues across platforms and support cloud/network security initiatives.
• Apply backbone-network, cloud technologies, and core networking expertise to secure DoD networks.
