Job summary

VTG Defense seeks a network and infrastructure engineer to design and implement an upgraded testing network including hardware and software across on-premises and cloud environments. The role emphasizes enterprise networking, automation, security segmentation, and collaboration with Agile teams to translate architectural designs into production-ready solutions.

You will work with Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling, deploying workloads on AWS/Azure and Linux, and performing

Qualifications

• Experience with network engineering or infrastructure operations focusing on enterprise networking (routing, switching, firewalls, segmentation).
• Experience developing automation and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, or Python.
• Experience deploying workloads across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and Linux operating systems.
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure monitoring tools.
• Experience performing deep-dive troubleshooting across complex, multi-tiered systems using network captures (Wireshark, tcpdump) and centralized log analysis.
• Ability to translate high-level architectural designs into production-ready implementations with minimal day-to-day oversight.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams while enforcing architectural standards, configuration consistency, and documentation baselines.
