Job summary

VTG Defense is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure in AWS with a focus on Kubernetes, Terraform, and observability. The role emphasizes high-volume data processing, monitoring, and automation within a secure environment.

The ideal candidate will have TS/SCI with Polygraph eligibility, hands-on Kubernetes experience, and strong IaC skills to optimize CI/CD and cloud security across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS EKS and containerized environments.
• Experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience with RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and routing/DNS.
• Experience with Grafana and monitoring/observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure for high-volume applications and data workloads.
• Deploy and troubleshoot containerized workloads using Kubernetes.
• Design cloud infrastructure with AWS services (EC2, S3).
• Develop IaC using Terraform to automate provisioning.
• Configure routing and DNS for highly available systems.
• Support messaging platforms like RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Collaborate with teams to streamline CI/CD and deployments.
