Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in the United States is seeking an Engineer to handle advanced network and server infrastructure tasks in Colorado Springs. The role focuses on routing, switching across multi-vendor platforms, IP addressing, DNS/DHCP, and Linux administration.

You will coordinate with vendors for server install and cabling, and support lab infrastructure access for internal/external customers.

Qualifications

Expert knowledge into network routing and switch administration on multi-vendor platforms.
Good experience with IP addressing (ipv4 and ipv6).
DNS, DHCP, PXEboot services with Linux OS administration.
Handle network-related procurements and coordinate the project from planning to deployment; coordinate with third-party vendors for server installation and cabling.
Sync-up with network operations team and handle the project with minimal deployment support and perform after deployment tasks.
Hands-on experience with network/server cabling to TOR switches and fiber runs; Cat6 knowledge.
Fiber-based cable types and transceivers knowledge.
Packet flow analysis and packet captures analysis.
Network automation knowledge using Python and Ansible a plus.
Manage user access accounts to lab infrastructure for internal/external customers/partners.
Server configuration and management: firmware, BIOS, BMC, OS installation.

Responsibilities

Expert knowledge into network routing and switch administration on multi-vendor platforms.
Rack and stack the network and server infrastructure when required, including unloading from delivery vehicles and unpacking equipment for deployment.
Good experience with IP addressing (ipv4 and ipv6).
DNS, DHCP, PXEboot services with Linux OS administration.
Coordinate project from planning to deployment; work with third party vendors for server installation and cabling.
Sync-up with network operations team and manage deployment tasks post-installation.
Network/server cabling to TOR switches, aggregators and other equipment; Cat6 and fiber runs.
Fiber cable types and transceivers knowledge.
Packet flow analysis and packet captures analysis.
Python/Ansible network automation is a plus.
Set up user access accounts to lab infrastructure for internal/external customers/partners.
Server configuration/management: firmware, BIOS, BMC updates; OS installation and engineering debug support.
Enterprise switch configuration for AI clusters.
Interfacing with external subcontractors for installation of network infrastructure.
