Base pay range

$65.00/hr - $85.00/hr

In this role you'll develop networking solutions for next-generation industrial robots, maintaining high performance connectivity within the robotic work cell and reliable communications and data uploads to cloud services.

You'll work closely with roboticists and engineers of many disciplines and on-site IT teams to ensure that product designs meet technical requirements and are able to be deployed and maintained effectively in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and maintain Linux image creation and deployment with associated systems, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security including vulnerability management.
2. Configure and manage AWS virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, security groups, and other AWS networking components and services.
3. Install, configure, and troubleshoot Linux operating systems and software applications in both on-premises and AWS cloud environments.
4. Support the whole infrastructure (servers, databases, file shares, robot machines, orchestrator, and application installation) by setting up and managing lab environment.
5. Work with team to provision automation infrastructure, including provisioning of new AWS formation and associating them to different environments.
6. Platform Administration: Manage and maintain orchestrator platform, user access, license management, scheduling, environment, etc.
7. Assist in the automation lifecycle by managing production environments and code migrations, ensuring separation of duties.
8. Performance monitoring and optimization: Support infrastructure operations and strategy, monitoring health, status of deployed machines and system performance.
9. Work with the team to ensure proper usage and maintenance of Automation Cloud and Installed software to ensure it remains secure, stable, and up-to-date with the latest features.

Security and Compliance:

1. Support escalation requests regarding Infrastructure/Security by working with relevant teams. Support the creation and deployment of encryption baseline for workstations and assets, manage existing operation of encryption infrastructure.
2. Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure availability and integrity of data together with the corresponding teams.
3. Identify, analyze, and implement enhancements to optimize performance, effectiveness and cost associated with the environment.

Training and Support:

1. Provide basic guidance and support to users, developers and other stakeholders involved in using AWS and Linux environment.

Documentation:

1. Maintain updated documentation of configurations and procedures related to AWS infrastructure, environments, and access.
2. Monitor AWS and on-prem Linux servers, analyze usage patterns, optimize costs and performance.
3. Monitor incoming support tickets raised from business users or raised as a result from automation defects.
4. Troubleshoot issues related to automation tools, processes, and infrastructure.

Education/Certifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or a related field.
2. Postgraduate degree – Desirable.
3. 3-5 Years of relevant experience in AWS, use of the Cloud Formation Platform and Infrastructure.

Must Have Qualifications:

• 5+ years of major internet routing protocols experience
• 5+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience
• 5+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience
• 5+ years' experience with AWS and AWS networking products such as Direct Connect and Transit Gateway
• Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing, Server Load Balancing, and Network Security architecture and core technologies such as IP, TCP, OSPF/IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, Server Load Balancers, Firewalls, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, LDAP, NFS, etc.
• Strong desire to build, ability to multitask, sense of ownership and urgency.
• Network automation and deployment using Python.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GIT, and Linux
