Candidate Criteria

- 8+ years as a Network Systems Engineer
- Strong experience with Software defined center, Firewall, Cisco Catalyst and Cisco ICE
- Skilled in core switch, knowledge and understanding of firewalls, switching, network security, heavy Cisco with next generation FTD, LAN Cisco 9300, WAN, WiFi planning, knowing how to configure WiFi, understanding of ITIL processes, VOIP exposure.

Job Summary
As the Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the global network infrastructure, making sure it is secure and running efficiently, troubleshoot, provide guidance and support to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
You will work closely with IT teams and business units to ensure optimal service levels are met as you help the company scale through well-planned, managed, and standardized infrastructure.
In this role, you should be flexible, have excellent problem‑solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture as well as be passionate about security and data protection.
Responsibilities
- Network and Infrastructure Management
- Design, implement, and maintain network, voice and infrastructure systems, including LAN, WAN, WiFi, PBX, and data center infrastructure.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Provide expert level troubleshooting skills across network and infrastructure systems, aligning with business objectives.
- Perform hardware, operating system, security, and application updates/patches for network and system components as well as operating system hardening.
- Plan and implement capacity upgrades and expansions.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices.
- Technical Operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and infrastructure issues, minimizing downtime and impact to business operations.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring contracts, support, and services meet business needs.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation schedule and plan and manage after‑hours infrastructure interventions. Setup/assist with IT hardware deployment/troubleshooting for other teams (network/storage equipment).
- Project Management
- Design and lead network and infrastructure projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects meet business objectives and are delivered on time.

- Collaboration and Communication
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal technology and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate with IT teams on platform implementation or changes that impact IT services or end‑users.
- Provide regular reports on system performance, capacity, and security, and design and deliver formal and informal presentations on technical topics.
- Oversee infrastructure operational budget, ensuring projects stay within capital budget.
- Provide insight into needs to meet current strategy for budget planning purposes.
- Drive continuous improvement and IT best practices into all areas of process, metrics, and performance within the infrastructure team.
- Research and review new and emerging technologies that could be implemented within infrastructure, developing ROI and implementation plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in network and infrastructure management.
Certifications and Licenses
- Industry recognized certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft, AWS, are highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), network devices (switches C9300, firewalls Cisco FTD).
- Network access control – Cisco ISE.
- Knowledge of compute, storage, backup, virtualization, Active Directory, and remote access.
- Experience with voice services, PBX, and VOIP technologies, and knowledge of voice protocols such as SIP, H.323… and familiarity with Microsoft Teams.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Identity Access Management.
- Familiarity with IT security and regulatory policies.
- Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot server infrastructure devices.
- Ability to create accurate topology diagrams and documentation.
- Change control / GMP experience.
