Job summary

Santa Clara Development Corporation in New Mexico is seeking an IT Network Solutions Engineer (on-site) to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure. You will work closely with IT leadership to ensure reliability, security, and scalability across LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless services.

The role emphasizes practical engineering, documentation, and long-term technology planning, with the expectation of hands-on execution and collaboration across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science or related field; two years hands-on network engineering experience or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related discipline preferred.
• 3–5+ years progressive network administration/engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, Security+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless and related network infrastructure.
• Administer enterprise network equipment: switches, routers, firewalls, wireless platforms.
• Develop network architecture diagrams, IP schemes, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, VPN, routing and switching.
• Lead or participate in network projects from requirements to handoff.
• Coordinate installations, upgrades, and vendor engagements.
• Assist with budgeting and technology refresh planning.
• Maintain network security controls and incident response readiness.
