Job summary

Rocket Lab, based in Littleton, CO, seeks a Senior Network Software Engineer I/II to lead software development for space-to-space and space-to-ground communications. The role requires embedded software experience, a current secret clearance, and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, aerospace engineering or similar technical discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant work industry experience (Senior Network Software Engineer I).
• 8+ years of relevant work industry experience (Senior Network Software Engineer II).
• Comprehensive knowledge of network software and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience using Jira for software development management.

Responsibilities

• Manage software development and integration of routers, radios, and laser communication devices on a constellation of spacecraft.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to develop and test an integrated system.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop product development plans and meet milestones.
• Design and develop simulation and testing approaches for constellation networking.
• Define KPIs for contractors and internal teams and drive improvements.
• Plan major integration points and testing between teams.
