Job summary

DigitalOcean is seeking a Senior Software Engineer 2 to join the Network Products team. You will write control plane and data plane software, develop APIs, troubleshoot customer experiences, and own parts of the product end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a software architect and lead developer in scalable, real-time systems.
• Strong Go programming language skills and unit testing experience.
• Knowledge of Networking stack with cross-team API contract leadership.
• Experience with cloud development, containerization and virtualization.
• CI/CD expertise and production-grade delivery mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, testing and optimization of services at scale.
• Collaborate with Networking and other teams to build next-gen products.
• Support existing products and craft robust, scalable solutions.
• Improve tooling and processes for reliable software delivery.
• Establish best practices for development and architecture.
• Mentor engineers within Networking.
