Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Staff Software Engineer with exceptional networking software development experience to join our switch department. This position is based at our San Jose, CA headquarters and involves leading the design, development, and testing of switching software in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will own one or more apps in the Super Fabric Manager (SFM) software, mentor teammates, and contribute to CI/CD tooling and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on networking software development experience.
• Deep data center networking with SONiC OS or similar.
• Full stack development with Node.js, Next.js, JavaScript, Go.
• Experience with AI networking use cases: backend/frontend/storage/HPC fabrics, observability and automation.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of one or more apps in the Super Fabric Manager (SFM) software.
• Collaborate with technical leads and product managers to meet project goals; mentor teammates.
• Build tools and scripts for CD/CI; automate testing; diagnose and resolve issues quickly.
• Document methodologies; write user guides; communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with internal customers and security teams; drive process improvements.
• Build robust, secure, and scalable network solutions.
