Job summary

Switch currently seeks a Senior Network Security Engineer to design and implement advanced network security solutions protecting critical infrastructure. You will lead architecture, evaluate technologies, and mentor engineers while expanding automation across the network environment.

You will design segmentation, deploy NGFW architectures, and establish standards for deployment and documentation, with remote/hybrid flexibility across the US.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of network engineering experience, or 4+ years with a CCIE-level certification.
• 6+ years implementing advanced network security projects and solutions.
• 2+ years implementing network automation.
• Deep understanding of network segmentation architectures and technologies.
• Advanced experience with Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewall environments.
• Experience with OSPF and BGP, and with IaC for network automation.
• Experience with Terraform and APIs for system integrations.
• Experience designing and managing enterprise routing and switching technologies.
• Experience with intrusion prevention and threat prevention technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex network security engineering projects from evaluation to implementation.
• Design and deploy security solutions aligned with infrastructure requirements.
• Assess architectures and propose improvements for security and performance.
• Develop enterprise network segmentation strategies and firewall architectures.
• Establish standards for deployment, maintenance and lifecycle management.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and run proofs of concept.
• Mentor engineers and provide advanced escalation support.
• Expand network automation using IaC, APIs, and scripting.
