Job summary

Meridian IT Inc. is seeking a Senior Network/Security Engineer to design and implement end-to-end network and security solutions for clients. The role involves pre-sales engagement, mentoring peers, and lifecycle ownership from planning to close across projects, migrations, and managed services.

Strong vendor certifications and enterprise networking experience are essential. The engineer will collaborate with sales and PM teams, demonstrate technology solutions, and ensure customer expectations

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience as a Network/Security Engineer.
• Cisco CCNP certification.
• Experience with Cisco ISE, Cisco ACI.
• Experience with firewall platforms including Cisco ASA & FTD, Fortigate, Palo Alto Networks (PCNSE certification).
• Ability to obtain and maintain pre- and post-sales technical certifications from manufacturers (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, HP, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to peer engineers, including assisting with project execution and complex problem-solving.
• Manage the entire technical lifecycle (planning to close) for assigned projects.
• Participate in network project planning, budgeting, and execution.
• Demonstrate effective planning and documentation for all project phases.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).
• Provide support to managed service customers within SLAs.
• Execute implementation, configuration, and migration tasks for network, security, and remote access projects.
