Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to own network security across Leo's heterogeneous environments—from corporate IT to OT/SCADA and launch operations. You will shape the security posture for every deployment and drive detection coverage from concept to production.

You will defend the Leo infrastructure, partnering with site operations and automation teams to implement mitigations, drive hardening, and lead response efforts on network threats.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of scripting, programming, and security code review in a common programming language.
• 5+ years of troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating tasks using command line tools.
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, or IT security experience.
• Knowledge of industry-based security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques.
• Experience with network security, including architecture review, segmentation, firewall/ACL management, detection, or incident response.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and deploy detections to production networks, using automation to surface security events.
• Conduct threat modeling for network deployments across environments.
• Build and maintain a network security assessment framework for all deployment types including OT/SCADA.
• Translate security risks into findings with severity and business impact; communicate to leadership.
• Develop and maintain security documentation: standards, runbooks, detection maps.
• Partner with infrastructure and site operations to implement mitigations and hardening.
• Contribute to incident response for network threats, including containment and post-incident improvements.
