Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our team, supporting enterprise customers with advanced network security and performance challenges. You’ll diagnose, mitigate, and resolve issues spanning DDoS, firewalls, SSL/TLS, and traffic optimization, while collaborating with engineering to improve our products.

You will also help author knowledge bases and runbooks to share best practices across teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Network Security/Technical Support roles.
• Experience with DDoS mitigation, firewall rules, SSL/TLS configurations.
• Ability to write knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted technical advisor for enterprise customers on network security and performance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues including DDoS mitigation, firewall rules, SSL/TLS and other security configurations.
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles and troubleshooting docs for internal and customer use.
• Compare traffic signatures and attributes to distinguish good vs malicious traffic.
• Provide DDoS mitigation guidance for OSI layers 3, 4, and 7 using Cloudflare tools.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to enhance products and tooling.
• Leverage generative AI and automation to accelerate log analysis and root-cause determination.
