Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to support our largest customers, resolving threats on OSI layers 3, 4, and 7 across Magic Transit, Argo, WAF, and related tools. You will work with Engineering and Operations to mitigate attacks and guide customers through advanced configurations.

You will communicate via chat, email, and phone, and you’ll join a team that values curiosity, AI-assisted problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration to keep the Internet secure.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required.
• Minimum 3 years in a technical support role.
• Strong understanding of how the Internet works (OSI model).
• Advanced knowledge of internet protocols such as TCP and UDP.
• Fundamental networking knowledge including iptables and looking glass.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers via chat, email, and phone.
• DDoS mitigation guidance for OSI layers 3, 4, and 7 using Cloudflare tools.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to mitigate attacks and apply mitigations.
• Work with Product teams to improve tools and products.
