Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced network engineer to lead the support for network hardware, software, and OS configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and administration.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive network analyses, overseeing advanced network solutions for IT infrastructure, ensuring policy compliance, managing IPS and firewalls, backups, and patching, while staying ahead with emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in supporting complex network infrastructure.
• CCNP or equivalent required.
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment and technologies.
• Experience writing, reviewing, and updating SOX documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the support for network hardware, software, and OS configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and administration.
• Conduct comprehensive network analyses and recommend upgrades and changes for future needs.
• Oversee development and execution of advanced network solutions for IT infrastructure components.
• Ensure strict compliance with policies, guidelines, and SOPs.
• Manage and configure Intrusion Protection Systems and firewalls at an advanced level.
• Supervise network backup processes and ensure backups per policies.
• Lead the review and installation of security patches to network devices.
• Stay ahead of the latest IT technologies and assess new tools.
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance automation.
• Direct and manage network projects and execute complex project tasks.
• Provide high-level analytical support to determine root causes of network issues.
• Perform additional projects to support strategic business needs.
