Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network/Security Engineer to design, implement, manage, and support our enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of networking protocols, security, and troubleshooting, along with experience in cloud and hybrid environments. This role requires leadership in project execution, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring junior staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure network solutions (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN).
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for reliability and speed.
• Manage and configure enterprise firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless systems.
• Ensure network security through firewalls, access controls, and intrusion prevention systems.
• Collaborate with IT teams to support business initiatives and infrastructure upgrades.
• Maintain documentation of network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
• Lead or assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements.

• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance when needed

Experience/Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5-8+ years of progressive experience in network engineering.
• Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, STP, VLANs).
• Experience with enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).
• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid environments.
• Strong understanding of network security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Skills/Requirements:

• Experience with SD-WAN and network automation (Python, Ansible).
• Exposure to monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios).
• VoIP and QoS experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with ITIL and change management processes.
