Job summary

NorthMark Compute & Cloud is seeking a hands‑on Network Security Engineer to design and maintain security infrastructure for hyperscale HPC and cloud compute environments. This role drives controls, automation, and operational practices to protect infrastructure at scale.

You will contribute to design, development, and delivery of critical security components, balancing security with delivery speed, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in network security engineering across trusted, untrusted, and DMZ environments.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, OSI model, and TCP/UDP applications.
• Experience securing on‑premises and cloud networks (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with security monitoring tools and SIEM platforms.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and hardening standards (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deliver scalable network security architecture and controls across on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Serve as SME for network security technologies and provide guidance to the team.
• Resolve complex security challenges using sound judgment and prioritization.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align security with delivery objectives.
• Develop and maintain network security standards, policies, and documentation.
• Support network segmentation and policy enforcement; participate in security reviews.
• Mentor junior security engineers and contribute to team growth.
