Job summary

Battle Tested is seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Architect to design secure, large-scale network solutions spanning enterprise, cloud, remote access, and partner connections. You will create architecture designs, review security and standards, and support delivery of complex infrastructure projects across business, cybersecurity, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise technology, network engineering, or infrastructure architecture.
• Strong background designing secure network environments for large, complex organizations.
• Cloud networking experience with AWS/Azure/GCP/IBM Cloud.
• Deep knowledge of DMZ design, traffic segmentation, and secure connectivity.
• Hands-on with routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, HTTP/S, IPv4/IPv6, and monitoring.
• Experience with Cisco, Arista, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet, Catalyst, ASR/ISR, Nexus.
• Familiarity with AD/PingFederate or similar authentication tools.
• Ability to use scripting or automation to improve network delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design secure network solutions for enterprise, cloud, remote access, vendor, customer, and B2B connectivity.
• Create architecture designs for DMZ, VPN, SD-WAN, cloud, hosting, and secure external access environments.
• Partner with cybersecurity, engineering, operations, and business teams to translate requirements into designs.
• Review network design requests to ensure security, performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Guide project teams through technical challenges and move designs from concept to delivery.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for complex network architecture and security issues.
• Support proof-of-concept and lab testing for new or complex network solutions.
• Define architecture standards, templates, best practices, and future-state roadmaps.
• Evaluate technology options and recommend platforms, tools, and approaches.
• Support design reviews to ensure secure, maintainable, scalable solutions.
