Job summary

Bank of America seeks a DMZ Architect to define the architectural vision for DMZ, SASE and Cloud designs across lines of business. The role focuses on designing resilient, scalable network services and ensuring security compliance.

You will lead design reviews, guide multi-vendor deployments, and align with the enterprise architecture roadmap while collaborating with Global Information Security and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technology industry experience.
• Experience integrating solutions with Cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google, IBM).
• Strong understanding of network security architecture and traffic segmentation.
• Knowledge of public cloud networking (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Solid routing and switching experience with Arista, Cisco Nexus, Firepower/ASA, Fortinet; DMZ/ISP experience.
• Deep TCP/IP, SDN, OSPF, BGP, VLAN, IPSEC, PKI, QoS, Multicast concepts.
• Experience using DDoS mitigation tools (Arbor, Prolexic/Akamai, F5/Silverline).
• Experience with Arista and Cisco routing/switching platforms (ISR, ASR, Catalyst, Nexus).
• Experience with large-scale DMZ environments and authentication mechanisms (AD, Ping Federate).
• Scripting experience.

Responsibilities

• Create the solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions.
• Contribute to architecture roadmaps across domains (Business, Application, Data, Technology).
• Clarify architecture, assist with system design, and provide solution options.
• Lead design discussions and shape architectures to be modular and adaptable.
• Educate teams on technology practices and standardization.
• Support technology stack selection and product choices.
• Perform design and code reviews to meet non-functional requirements.
• Contribute to technology domain roadmaps and best practices.
• Lead rapid high-level architecture shaping with evolving requirements.
• Support Principal Engineer in stack selection.
