Job summary

Bank of America in Jersey City seeks a senior DMZ Architect to define the architectural vision for complex security and network solutions, focusing on DMZ, SASE, and cloud designs. You will lead design submissions, assess security baselines, and shepherd projects from concept to implementation, collaborating with Global Information Security and engineering teams.

The role demands deep hands-on experience with Arista, Cisco, routing, VPN, and SDWAN, plus scripting and automation know-how.

Qualifications

• 10+ years industry experience in technology domains.
• Experience with Cloud providers including AWS, Azure, Google, IBM.
• Strong understanding of network security architecture and traffic segmentation.
• Working knowledge of public cloud networking concepts within GCP, AWS, and Azure environments.

Responsibilities

• Works across the business, operations and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements into a technology backlog to enable the technology roadmap.
• Contributes to the architecture roadmap of defined domains in support of the product roadmap and the development of best practices including standardized templates.
• Clarifies the architecture, assists with system design to support implementation, and provides solution options to resolve architectural impediments.
• Leads design of complex architectures and finds creative solutions while ensuring architecture is flexible and modular.
• Educates team members on technology practices and standardization strategies to create innovative solutions.
• Supports the team in selecting the technology stack and tools.
• Performs design and code reviews to ensure non-functional requirements are met (security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, reliability).
• Contributes to architecture roadmaps and best practices across technology domains.
