Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is seeking a Senior Network Security Administrator to join our Technology Services team at the East Syracuse Data Center.

The role requires at least 7 years in enterprise network security, with expertise in ZTNA, next-gen firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortigate, Meraki), and cloud networking (Azure, AWS). You will deploy, configure, and secure network infrastructure, review vulnerabilities, and support audits and incident response while traveling up to 10% as

• Proficiency in advanced network and network security technologies including, ZTNA solutions, full UTM next gen firewall, Cloud networking (Azure, AWS) network segmentation, network load balancing, WAF.
• Extra consideration for CISCO ISE, CISCO ACI, CISCO UCS, Palo Alto firewall, CISCO NEXUS Switching, Nutanix AHV, Nutanix Flow.

Responsibilities

• Work with Information Security and Network teams to evaluate and test new security technologies.
• Design, implement and maintain secure network solutions including Azure cloud.
• Manage and troubleshoot network equipment and security software.
• Implement and test security controls to protect networks from cyber threats.
• Assess vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation with security teams.
• Support audit findings and remediation activities with Information Security.
• Contribute to incident response and forensic analysis.

Responsibilities

Our Technology Services department is looking for a seasoned Senior Network Security Administrator to join our Network Security team. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in a Network/Network Security Administrator role supporting a complex enterprise WAN/LAN environment.

• Work with Information Security, Network Admin & Telecommunications to evaluate and test new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities.
• Assist in the maintenance, design and implementation of new network solutions as well as improve the efficiency of current network design. This includes Cloud Networking solutions in Azure.
• Hands on experience with next gen firewalls to include Palo Alto, Fortigate, and Meraki.
• Provision, deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and administer all network equipment and network security-related hardware and software.
• Implement, review, and test security measures to protect the networks from cyber-attacks, hacking attacks, intrusion, infiltration, and natural disasters.
• Review, assess, and mitigate network vulnerabilities.
• Work towards compliance, mitigation, and remediation processes and procedures in support of the organization’s needs.
• Ability to develop, implement and support security related enhancements for the organization including those linked to network and application configuration changes.
• Assist in the design, implementation & maintenance and review of corporate firewalls and other security products/services/tools.
• Analyze and resolve security concerns identified in various vulnerability and baseline scans performed on a recurring frequency.
• Work with Information Security to satisfy all IT related audit findings and implement any necessary security control remediations.
• Help conduct forensic analysis on security related events per incident response guidelines.
• Attend ongoing, corporate sponsored training of key job related software/hardware solutions.
• Perform any other tasks or assignments as deemed necessary by the organization.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed.
• Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner.

Location: This position is on-site at our East Syracuse Data Center with a hybrid work schedule option.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years of enterprise Network/Network Security Administrator experience.
