Job summary

Massachusetts Financial Services Company (MFS) is seeking a Network Sr. Manager to lead a team of network engineers and own the reliability, security, and evolution of enterprise network services.

You will balance hands-on depth with strategic roadmaps and measurable outcomes in a 24/7 environment. You will drive architecture-aligned solutions, partner with infrastructure and security teams, and push modernization and automation, ensuring strong controls and alignment with business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 8-12+ years of IT experience with LAN/WAN, Cisco routers/switches, network management platforms, load balancing, and data center networking.
• Experience mitigating network security issues and leading staff in a 24/7 environment.
• Strong ability to interact with senior management and drive outcomes across IT and business teams.
• Expertise across Enterprise Networking, Routing and Switching, Data Center Networking, WAN/Internet, Security, and Automation.

Responsibilities

• Escalation point for operational health of MFS network services with reliable incident/problem management.
• Develops and retains a high-performing network engineering team through coaching and goal setting.
• Leads implementation and lifecycle management of network solutions aligned to architecture and security controls.
• Partners to develop a network services roadmap with modernization and automation initiatives.
• Drives capacity planning, performance tuning, and documentation for controls and observability.
• Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and reduced manual processes.
• Ensures compliance with information security controls and audit requirements.
• Translates objectives into actionable plans and communicates risks to leadership.
• Leads complex initiatives and major incidents with timely decision making.
