Job summary

Cloudflare in Austin is seeking a growth-oriented engineer to join the Argo team. You will help enable more reliable network connectivity across Cloudflare’s products, contributing to edge and platform software with Go, Rust, Linux networking, and database tooling.

Collaboration with multiple engineering groups and on-call responsibilities are core parts of the role. You’ll work with a stack including Rust, Go, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Grafana, Kubernetes, and AI-powered tooling to accelerate

Qualifications

Systems-level programming in Go, Rust, C, or C++ with willingness to learn Rust.
Understanding of networking layers 3–4 and related protocols.
Familiarity with HTTP, TLS, and CDN networks.
Experience building distributed, highly available systems and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

Enable reliable network connectivity for Cloudflare products.
Contribute to Argo-powered services like CDN, Spectrum, and Workers.
Collaborate with Engineering, Network Engineering, and SRE to implement platform capabilities.
Participate in the full software lifecycle: design, code, tests, and deployments.
Work with Rust, Go, Linux networking, PostgreSQL, Grafana, Kubernetes; apply AI tools.
