TRAC Recruiting is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for network protocols and devices in a remote capacity. You will contribute to an AWS cloud-based authentication platform and work within an Agile team focused on scalable cloud services.

The role emphasizes network infrastructure interaction, RouterOS scripting, RESTful APIs, and security-conscious development practices, with mentorship and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with network focus.
• Experience with MikroTik RouterOS scripting, APIs, and automation.
• Strong knowledge of RADIUS, 802.1X, and AAA workflows.
• Familiar with RESTful API design and AWS cloud-native services.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain software systems interacting with network infrastructure.
• Design, build, and maintain containerized services on Linux-based infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering to translate stories into scalable features.
• Work on network protocol integration focused on RADIUS and AAA technologies.
• Develop automation tools for configuration, authentication, and device lifecycle management.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in security reviews as needed.
